“Honestly, in haircare, only overly thick hair is ever advertised, a lot of the time to the point where it's not realistic,” Fitzsimons says. “Very, very, very few people on the planet have that amount of hair, so also it comes down to expectation. Often people will think they have to cut their hair because it appears thin.
Another way to figure out if you have finer locks is by comparing a strand to a piece of thread. If it’s smaller than the thread, chances are you have fine hair. When determining the width of your hair, a strand of thread is a good comparison. If your individual strands have smaller widths than the thread, your hair is fine rather than medium or coarse. The way your hair feels, too, is helpful in figuring out whether or not your hair is fine. Fine hair typically feels silkier, and from personal experience, it slips out of hair ties like that's its job.

In addition, you can learn the specific products it needs and the more flattering hairstyles for such hair types. So, go ahead and scroll down to figure out if you have coarse hair. The forward-swept style is another daring, yet popular look for women who want to make the most of their fine hair texture. The premise of the look is that all the hair is swept forward, but it may be swept to the side, as well.
Those with fine or thin hair should handle their strands with care and heed a volume-boosting regimen. "To help 'mask' both fine and thin hair, daily shampooing is of great help—it will make your hair bouncier and shinier and it will keep your scalp moisturized," Rus shares. "With thin hair, more of your scalp is visible, so stepping up the volume while styling will help a lot." Many people with thinning hair use fibers or colored sprays to camouflage the scalp. The number of strands—of the hair in a given area on your scalp,” Dr. Saedi says.
A messy updo is perfect for everyday wear, and many of these styles provide a romantic bohemian vibe. The best way to achieve a winning look with thinning or fine hair involves using a texturizing spray all over your hair; it gives your hair a little boost and helps your messy updo stay put. One idea is to part your hair down the middle and create two loose French braids on either side that come together at the nape of your neck. Then, pull down a few tendrils of fringe to add to the tousled look and you’re all set.
If you're hair never, ever holds a curl, strive to achieve a loose bend instead like Leslie Mann. This can be accomplished with a two-inch curling iron or feeding chunks of hair through your flat iron. If you want a chunkier ponytail like Jessica Chastain, use a texturing product on your hair to give a little lift at the roots. To make the rest of your hair appear fuller, try wrapping the ends of your hair around a curling iron. It's also crucial to prop up your ponytail if it's prone to falling flat, so secure your ponytail with two elastic bands in a row.

You can even turn this into a half-up, half-down ‘do, which creates the illusion of even thicker hair. This is a cute, functional style that will serve you well at home and out on the town. If your hair is thinning on top, side-swept hair is a great way to cover any areas of insecurity while looking as daring or as chic as you please. For example, if you want a look that is feminine and romantic, try a side-swept ponytail with a few curls at the ends.
Don't shampoo too often.
To recap, the difference between fine hair vs. thin hair is pretty clear. Thin hair is a result of low hair density, while fine hair is low on volume. If you have thin hair, it means that your hair follicles are very spaced out. Fine hair, on the other hand, is about how thin each hair strand is.

"Overdirecting the hair while blow-drying also helps to give lift to the root and add more volume to any style," Aronson says. "Flip your head over to help in lifting the root by blowing it straightforward with a vent brush." The half-up/half-down hairstyle is great for thinning hair because it makes it look like you have more hair at your crown, but allows you to keep its length in the back. Changing your hairstyle completely is great and all, but sometimes the simplest change makes the biggest impact. By simply flipping your side part to the other side, you could be covering up sparseness around your scalp that can really help make your hair look thicker.

It’s not the most moisturising of shampoos, but that’s what the matching conditioner is for. If you have natural curls that you’ve been straightening for years, now is your chance to unleash your natural texture — it can make your hair look thicker and hide areas of sparseness on your scalp. And if your hair is straight, adding heatless curls that won’t damage your strands is the perfect way to get a little more oomph into your style. The soft, light texture of fine hair gives it a gentle feathery quality, but beware of teeny fly-aways. Investing in a pliable wax product to style and keep your hair in place is crucial for maintaining an ultra-short cut on fine hair. This style makes it hard to believe that Julianne Hough naturally has fine hair.

How to Get Thicker Hair: 10 Expert Ways to Thicken Hair in 2024.
The two terms are used interchangeably but they describe different things. You can have fine strands but a lot of hair and you can have hairs thicker in diameter but fewer of them. You can also have fine, thin hair (so few hairs that are also lean in size) which appears wispy and sparse. If you have fine hair, you know it can be both a blessing and a curse. On the bright side, your skinny strands don’t need as much product to coat them.
Fine hair refers to individual hair strands with a smaller diameter, giving them a delicate and lightweight texture. As you age, hair strands may become finer, and overall hair density can decrease. While fine hair and thinning hair might seem interchangeable, they have distinct differences that set them apart. This article delves into the intricate world of fine hair versus thinning hair, shedding light on their distinctions and offering insights for maintaining overall hair health.
These modern tousled lobs look put-together and chic, creating an on-trend style. Women who have thinner hair can choose face-framing layers to add even more youthful dimension, volume, and texture. Kaia Gerber's laidback updo works perfectly for fine hair types with a face-framing haircut. Leave the front pieces out and gather the rest of the hair into a low bun fastened at the nape of the neck.
To style fine hair, getting a layered haircut can add dimension and your hair appear more voluminous. Both hair types are also susceptible to damage as thin hair’s lack of density can make it more fragile whereas fine hair can break easily due to its fine and delicate nature. Fine hair refers to the texture of your hair and how a single strand feels. Typically fine hair has a smooth and silky texture with each hair strand being quite small, resulting in the hair feeling quite soft or delicate. Although the amount of hair you have may be substantial, you can still have fine hair strands which may leave your hair looking like it lacks volume.
Short wispy waves are the ultimate face-framing hairstyle for women who have fine or thinning hair. The asymmetrical cut paired with the expertly placed layers and curls creates a bouncy, feminine look that is charming and intriguing. This cut works with a variety of hair textures, and while it does require some maintenance and styling to look its best, it’s well worth the effort.
With certain blow drying techniques, quality volumizing hair products, and the right cut, all your hair goals can be achieved. Both hair types can lack volume, although it is for two different reasons. Thin hair is lacking in density due to the diameter of the hair strand being thin whereas fine hair’s delicate texture makes it challenging to hold to certain styles.
The textured lob is a beautiful style for fine hair that allows you to keep some length in your look while giving it more movement and bounce. Thin hair tends to have very little volume, but with the addition of thick bangs and long layers for texture, this style can offer a fuller-looking finish. Great for all types, the textured long bob can be the perfect option if you have slightly wavy hair by nature. It refuses to hold a single curl, inevitably falls flat by midday, and gets greasy by 3 p.m. The best dry shampoos and hair thickening shampoos the world has to offer.
First and foremost, let’s address the elephant in the room, we’re sorry to break it to you, but your hair’s thickness is determined by genetics and cannot be changed – not ideal, we know. The good news is, your crown can look fabulous regardless of the type; the secret is embracing it and learning how to get it looking its best. In this blog, we’ll explore the differences between fine and thin hair, how to determine which type you have, and what you can do to make whichever locks you’ve got the best they can be. "Leave a few face-framing pieces around the face to hide any thinness and pull the rest back into a ponytail," Lopez suggests when doing a ponytail on thin hair. "Use hairspray and your hair dryer to really slick everything down." If you want added fullness, the stylist suggests adding a ponytail extension into the mix. People of Asian and African origin are more likely to have coarse hair.
Slowly realizing how death works for mortals, a remorseful Collector begs Eda and King to run away, not wanting anyone else to die and apologizing for everything, shedding tears for the first time in his life and not understanding what they are. Before Belos can finish them off, Luz returns as a human-Titan hybrid courtesy of King’s father, and gets them all out of harm’s way. Realizing that the Archives are about to fall from the Titan’s skull, the Collector volunteers to keep it afloat, managing to do so despite being hit by part of Belos’s blast and weakened. While Luz and her friends are celebrating for her new palisman, the Collector is observing them from above with Belos (still posing as Raine) by his side.
Season 2
This casual indifference caused him to see others as toys for his amusement, such as viewing the catastrophic events the Day of Unity would unfold as a fun activity or casually killing Belos by likening his payback for Belos' double-cross as a game of tag. Despite his god-like power, the Collector understood little about mortals, failing to grasp that his warped perception of fun has dire consequences and thinks little of the lives of others. When King tried to show him how harmful turning people into puppets was at one point, the Collector innocently reasoned everything was still a game of pretend, dismissing the people as little more than part of his game. He wants friendship so much that he’s willing to befriend even Luz, despite being manipulated into thinking she’s there to stop him and take King away. Upon a new suggestion, the Collector goes to play with her, Eda, and King, wanting to show them how much fun he can be and blissfully unaware of how dangerous and potentially deadly his games are. He's unable to understand why his new playmates are hurting him when they start to defend themselves from the mortal games.
O Titan, Where Art Thou
Additionally, he wears a light pink pendant with a purple crescent moon face around his neck. With a new outlook on life, the Collector chooses to return to the stars for some growing and soul searching, and is deeply touched when King gifts him his precious plus Francois and a hug, finally considering him a real friend. Before departing, the Collector gifts Luz a portal door so she can come and go between the Human and Demon realms whenever she likes, and they both pinky swear to keep doing their best. The Collector hails from a race of celestial beings which seeks to archive and catalogue all life in the Demon Realm. He was the younger brother of a group known as the Archivists, and his childlike interests stood out from his siblings. One day, the Archivists told him that they will play hide and seek, and that he needs to visit a magical race known as the Titans to see if they will join.

New 'The Owl House' Season 3 Poster Shows Luz, King, and Eda Poised for Battle - Collider
New 'The Owl House' Season 3 Poster Shows Luz, King, and Eda Poised for Battle.
In an attempt to get him to see the error of his ways, Luz, Eda, and King takes him on a tour of places that helped them bond and teach him how great kindness and forgiveness can be. At the Knee, their tour comes to an abrupt end when the Collector hears breathing in the distance and the group realizes Belos has possessed the titan. However, Belos reveals that he won't be releasing him, both because he's only using the Titan's Blood from the key to activate the Portal and because he doesn't want anyone else learning about their powerful spells, and instead drops his mirror down a pit in the Titan's skull. Later in the episode, while Luz and her allies battle Belos, an equally betrayed Kikimora brings King down to the pit. There, he makes a deal with the Collector, who recognized King as the Titan's son, to free them and play a game of "Owl House" in exchange for ending Belos' Draining Spell.
Philip Wittebane
They are a mysterious entity imprisoned within the Boiling Isles that has come in league with Emperor Belos, intent on gaining freedom on the Day of Unity and taking revenge by wreaking havoc upon the Demon Realm. They are also the figurehead of the Titan Trappers and are responsible for turning the Owl Beast into Eda Clawthorne's curse. In "Clouds on the Horizon", the Collector accompanies Belos as the latter sets up the functioning Portal Door in the Titan's skull, exactly where he found the Collector centuries ago. The Collector sadistically asks Belos if he's nervous to return home, bringing up the facts that the Human Realm must've changed drastically over the four centuries he's been gone, and that Philip himself has changed in the measures taken to extend his lifespan. Centuries later in the present, Eda's apprentice, Luz Noceda, and Philip/Belos' grimwalker subordinate, Hunter, temporarily find themselves in the emperor's mind in the episode, "Hollow Mind", where they discover of the Collector's existence and allegiance with Belos. After escaping, Luz, King, and Hooty travel to Titan Trapper Island in "Edge of the World" for help against Belos, only to discover both King's Titan lineage and that the trappers worship the Collector.
Starting a new game
After being beaten in each of the summoned games, instead of retaliating, the Collector goes to sulk in a corner, unable to understand why his new playmates are hurting him. Although he easily could’ve punished them, the fact that the Collector never did anything to the trio as revenge for beating him in the games further demonstrates how he never meant any genuine harm to anybody. The Collector sees Eda as a laid-back mentor figure, referring to her as a "cool aunt". He knows most about Eda from King, so his prior perceptions of her likely come from him.
When King eventually turns off the lamp, the Collector asks King if he could sleep with Francois, but King is hesitant, as he only lets one other person hold him. The Collector realizes whom he refers to and exhibits brief envy toward the human girl, before asking King if Francois could at least be left on the nightstand to watch over him, as he doesn't like being alone. The Titans were deemed a threat and the Archivists launched a subtle campaign of genocide of the Titans, eliminating all Titans alike from the young to the adults, until one was left. The lone survivor furious about the disappearances of his kind blamed the Collector child, hiding his sole remaining egg and then dragging the Collector into the Space Between. Eventually, the Archivists managed to wipe out all Titans until there was only one left. Enraged, he mistakenly blamed the young Collector who befriended the baby Titans, for the genocide, and trapped him in the In-Between Realm before dying from unknown reasons.
Knock, Knock, Knockin' on Hooty's Door
After the Collector pulls King back, he creates the Archive House from the Titan's skull, a place for him and King to live. King explains the "Owl House" game to the Collector, saying it's kind of like playing pretend. He starts turning people into puppets, much to King's dismay, to help with the game and creates spies to help with this.
The trio swiftly escape the island, but not before King makes a psychic connection with the Collector in a botched ritual sacrifice by the Trappers. A moon-emblazoned mirror, the key to freeing the Collector from his prison, was kept in the Titan's skull, guarded by a beast named the Stonesleeper. However, in this desire for attachment, the Collector becomes bitter and resentful when those he befriends hold their own relationships with other people. This is displayed by his initial belief that King was his friend and would never turn against him, but after coming to believe King was planning to stop him, he became vengeful of King's double-cross and decided to take matters into his own hands. Though the Collector has an underdeveloped and warped sense of morality, he is not completely amoral.
According to the Collector's storybook, the Collectors, as their name suggests, "preserve" species on the worlds they exert their powers on. However, if a species tries to "meddle in their affairs", they are known to "clean their planets and scorch their air". As noted by Kikimora, they are neither witch or demon, and are mentioned to be incredibly long-lived. Meanwhile, Belos, after absorbing one of his unfinished grimwalkers, jumps to a window of the Collector's castle and possesses the Raine Whispers puppet. He then sneaks into the Collector's room and tries to possess him, but he is quickly restrained when the Collector wakes up by his presence.
He also wears dark slippers with white buds and a yellow necklace with a white tag of a black smiling crescent moon attached to it. As a shadow, he appears as a two-dimensional being with a half-split design; again, with one side black with three sun symbols, and the other grey with three crescent moon symbols. The Collector hails from a race of celestial beings who seek to archive and catalog all life in the Demon Realm. Although little is known about his nature, it is shown that the Collector's child-like interests stood out from other collectors, whose ways he held in disdain and went as far as to omit them in a Collector guidebook. At an unknown point in time, the collectors encountered another magical race, the titans.
However, the Collector took the lesson too much by heart and tried to do the same to Belos, naively assuming anyone could be forgiven. The revelation sees a change in the Collector, as he cries at the fact he hurt many people so carelessly that he shows sadness and empathy for the first time and is devastated for indirectly causing Luz’s death. Furthermore, he reacts in befuddlement to what tears are after his eyes begin producing them, completely at a loss of words for what the feelings mean, never feeling that kind of grief before. The Collector's spies were blue star-shaped entities deployed by the Collector during his rise to power in order to cast puppet spells on every inhabitant of the Boiling Isles. The Collectors are first revealed in the second episode of the show's third season, "For the Future".
The Emperor then says their partner's patience will be rewarded, as the Day of Unity is merely 24 hours away. The Collector watches with Belos as witches from all over the Isles approach the Titan's head, grinning widely. For all his power, it appears that the Collector is not truly malicious and at his heart is just a child who only wishes to connect and make friends. A passage in the Collector's storybook further implies that, while he might have done numerous bad things, he is still disgusted by his kind's genocidal ways. Coupled with his desire to be friends with King and make him happy, his reactions indicate that the Collector yearns to have a companion like him who understands him.
The Collector also values what King has to say, and King seems to be the only being he listens to. He also displays some affability with Odalia Blight, whom he sees as a maternal figure, despite making her his servant to his whims. On some occasions, usually, if he is using magic whilst experiencing strong emotions, such as anger or excitement, his eyes emit a bright glow. They were worshipped as the patron god of the Titan Trappers, a warrior clan of witches dedicated to finding the last Titans and killing them.

MSC Cruises USA President Rubén A. Rodríguez said Cliffhanger is a “natural next step,” following attractions on its other ships like Seascape’s Robotron. Both itineraries are 7-nights long, with the Bermuda cruise including an overnight visit to the Royal Naval Dockyard in Bermuda. Meanwhile, the Bahamas and Florida cruise features calls on Port Canaveral (Orlando, Florida), Nassau, and Ocean Cay. As part of its expansion into North America, the 23-ship cruise line has invested $350 million into building the largest passenger cruise terminal in the US, which will be able to accommodate 36,000 passengers per day.

MSC Seashore pays tribute to New York City, a destination that represents the spirit of discovery and cultural experiences that is at the heart of the MSC Cruises guest experience. Venue names, public areas, and design features are inspired by the world-famous city, such as a 9.5-foot replica of the Statue of Liberty at the heart of the casino and an expansive retail and entertainment area aptly named Times Square. Here, an impressive 27.5-foot LED wall spans four decks and features a projection of the iconic Manhattan skyline that can change from day to night. About 285 miles away in Port Canaveral, Florida, MSC Seashore will offer a range of itineraries departing on Thursdays and Sundays. These include 3 to 4-night cruises to the Bahamas, which will call on Nassau and Ocean Cay, and 7-night Western Caribbean Cruises, which will stop at Cozumel and Costa Maya in Mexico and Ocean Cay. MSC Seascape, which will share PortMiami with MSC World America, will alternate between 3-, 4-, and 7-night itineraries that will embark on select Thursdays and Sundays all summer long.
Thank you for visiting MSC Cruises
As is typical for cruise line loyalty programs, the entry-level tier (Classic) doesn't bring all that many truly valuable rewards. By far the most alluring benefit at this level is the 5% discount that members get when booking future sailings (note that this discount is not valid on Tandem and MSC Grand Tours). For a sailing of under five nights, for instance, your earnings would range from 200 to 800 points depending on the experience you book. For cruises that are five to nine nights in length, you'd earn from 500 to 1,500 points depending on the experience. Unlike other cruise lines, MSC Cruises does not let passengers switch their internet plan from one device to another during the cruise, even if they're only using one device at a time.
MSC World America Will Begin Career In Miami, Florida
Once achieved, your status is good as long as you take a cruise at least once every 36 months. If you don't, not only will your points disappear, but your entire account will be erased, requiring you to re-enroll and start all over again. The real perks begin at Diamond status, which brings a free dinner in an extra-charge restaurant, priority embarkation at the start of a cruise and priority disembarkation at the end of a cruise. Only the Voyagers Club member who makes the final payment for the onboard expenses will receive those points. For prepaid expenses, points will be equally distributed among the cabin occupants. During the day, there's no specific dress code, and people dress casually.
Europe
They offer as many as six different full-scale theatrical productions during a typical voyage, with multiple showtimes for each production and a range of styles. You'll find original Broadway-style musicals, piano concerts and even operas. MSC Cruises is increasingly known for having big, bustling megaships that'll appeal to people who like a megaresort experience.
With docking right on the island, you can walk straight off the ship and onto 2 miles of white sand beaches where chairs, umbrellas and cabanas await to help you sit back and relax beside crystal blue waters. Whether you use a travel agent or not, make sure to maximize your purchase when paying for the cruise by using a credit card that offers extra points for travel purchases. This could be the Chase Sapphire Reserve, which offers 3 Ultimate Rewards points per dollar spent on travel and dining (excluding the annual $300 travel credit). There's also the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card, which earns 2 points per dollar spent on travel (and dining). One step up is the more expensive "Fantastica" experience, which adds room service and breakfast delivered to your cabin, priority choice of dinner sittings, access to additional kids activities and classes, and more. It's not uncommon to find MSC Cruises voyages to the Caribbean and the Bahamas from under $75 per person, per night, including all taxes and fees — at least in the offseason.

MSC Seashore has five specialty restaurants that feature waterfront, outdoor seating on the ship's boardwalk. The biggest suites on MSC Grandiosa, which launched in 2019, span two levels and offer around 635 square feet of interior space, plus another 237 square feet of outdoor balcony space. Still, MSC Cruises doesn't offer the sort of truly giant suites (more than 1,000 to 2,000 square feet) you'll find on some Norwegian and Royal Caribbean ships. The grande dame of the MSC Cruises fleet is its recently unveiled MSC World Europa.
MSC Seascape’s shorter sailings, which will last for 3 to 4-nights, will sail to the Bahamas, calling on Ocean Cay and Nassau. Enjoy casual oceanfront dining full of flavorful options from traditional barbecue favorites to authentic Bahamian dishes. With 10 classic beach bars to choose from, a cold beverage is always within reach. When you choose to apply (and are approved) for a new credit card through our site, we may receive compensation from our partners, and this may impact how or where these products appear. Travelers who take advantage of this deeply-discounted rate can sail on three and four night journeys from Miami for just $179, or from Orlando starting at just $189, MSC shared with Travel + Leisure. If you're a megaresort lover, you'll feel right at home on MSC Cruises' new World, Meraviglia and Seaside Class vessels, which rival the biggest vessels of Royal Caribbean and Norwegian for their array of onboard amusements. If you're sure you know what sort of cabin you want, on which ship, on which itinerary — and about a dozen other things — you can head over to the MSC Cruises website to book directly. Once on board an MSC Cruises ship, you'll pay extra for most drinks, extra-charge restaurants, spa services, shore excursions, internet and a few other amenities — unless you've paid up for a more inclusive package. As you might expect, pricing for ships will generally be lower during offseason periods such as September, October and parts of November. Unlike with most cruise line loyalty programs, you won't automatically keep your status forever with MSC Cruises.

In a typical summer, the line will deploy the vast majority of its ships in the Mediterranean or northern Europe. In recent years, the line has also kept at least a couple of ships in Florida in summer for voyages to the Caribbean and the Bahamas. This year, the line had two ships based in Florida for summer sailings to the Caribbean and the Bahamas, plus one ship sailing out of New York City for the summer. In addition to all the above, MSC Group — the line's parent company — has announced plans for yet another class of big ships to start arriving later this decade, though few details have been released.
Additionally, the main pool areas on the newest MSC Cruises ships are among the biggest and most stunning at sea. Some of the line's ships also have adults-only pools topped with glass ceilings that can be opened on warm days. The top decks of MSC Cruises ships offer pools, hot tubs and plenty of lounge space, plus some spectacular family-focused fun zones — on the line's newest ships, at least. While a few of MSC Cruises' smallest ships have relatively limited dining venues, many of the line's vessels offer a wide range of choices.
At 215,863 tons, it's the biggest MSC Cruises ship ever built and the first of a new series of so-called World Class vessels that are nearly as big as Royal Caribbean's Oasis Class ships. All the North America-based ships are marketed heavily to Americans, and the line has tailored some of the features and activities on the vessels to a North American crowd. While the Switzerland-based company is the third-biggest cruise line in the world, it has far less name recognition among Americans than big U.S.-based lines such as Royal Caribbean and Carnival Cruise Line. A large percentage of its customers came from countries such as Italy, Germany, France and Spain.
The ship features 65 percent of her public spaces completely reimagined to enrich the onboard experience and has been extended and enhanced with new entertainment venues, bars and restaurants, and outdoor areas as well as more staterooms and public space. The first of two enriched Seaside EVO-class ships, MSC Seashore is equipped with the latest advanced environmental technology to increase energy efficiency. In addition, the innovative MSC for Me technology provides an enhanced onboard experience by using digital technology to connect guests, crew, and venues via interactive touchscreens around the ship, interactive stateroom TVs, and the MSC for Me app. MSC Cruises offers a broad range of entertainment and activities on its ships.
Experience the beauty of the Mediterranean (Eastern and Western Mediterranean) and cruise to Spain, Canary Islands and Madeira. Cruise to the Caribbean, one of the most beautiful and fascinating destinations in the world. Drift away to the sound of waves and perhaps indulge in some shopping and a spot of night life in trendy Miami or the mysterious Mexican Costa Maya. Long a major player in Europe, MSC Cruises is growing fast in North America with a lineup of big, new, amenity-filled ships.
The Aurea experience also comes with access to My Choice dining and an exclusive sun deck area that on many ships features an exclusive bar and hot tubs. For instance, at the time of publication, four-night sailings from Miami to the Bahamas in September 2024 start at just $249 per person, not including taxes and fees of $100. That works out to just $87.25 per person, per night, with taxes and fees, for a package that includes your lodging, transportation and meals. Members earn points based on the length of the cruises they take and which "experience" they book on those sailings. There are four different "experiences" you can book on an MSC Cruises sailing, each with different inclusions and price points.

MSC Cruises voyages in Europe are often heavily filled with Europeans speaking Italian, German, Spanish and French, as well as some English speakers. In Europe, the line offers onboard programming in all five of these languages (all crew members speak English no matter where the ships are sailing).
From experiencing with alternative energy sources (bio-LNG, fuel cell) , to efficiency-enhancing technology, to our advanced onboard recycling systems, we strongly believe that leadership comes with increased responsibility towards the environment. Therefore, we are continuously working to reduce our impact on board and ashore, and optimize cruise itineraries to help reduce fuel consumption. One of the ways to save fuel in cruising is by lowering water resistance. Some of our ships are equipped with exhaust cleaning systems, to reduce SOx emissions released from the main engine.

Even with its higher price tag, the MSC Yacht Club still provides great value for its wide range of perks, such as unlimited drinks in all MSC Yacht Club areas, including premium spirits and minibar items. Cliffhanger will be part of Family Aventura, one of seven districts on the 2,614-stateroom ship. The area also features The Harbor, an outdoor park area with a high ropes course, a playground inspired by the lighthouse at the line’s private Bahamas destination Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve and more. Cruising the Mediterranean with MSC Cruises means coming within reach of the best in culture, tradition and monuments that have for centuries enriched its shores. This cruise offers the opportunity to visit and learn about countries and people facing this sea and their millenary history.
Destinations and itineraries
MSC Cruises has a point-based frequent cruiser program, the MSC Voyagers Club, that has four tiers ranging from Classic (requiring 1 point) to Diamond (10,000 points). Unlike some lines, MSC Cruises doesn't allow passengers to bring their own alcohol on board. The bigger MSC Cruises ships also have interactive game zones with such attractions as Formula One racing simulators, immersive XD cinemas, arcade games and even full-size bowling alleys.
The flagship of MSC Cruises’s World-class fleet, MSC World America, will spend its inaugural season based in Miami, Florida. The 6,762-passenger ship is currently in the final phases of construction, but will homeport at what will be the world’s largest cruise terminal when it enters service in April of 2025. The sale also includes MSC’s cruises from Galveston, which the company plans to introduce as its newest homeport in the United States in 2025. The cruise line expects to sail 7-night trips to Mexico and Central America on the MSC Seascape out of Galveston, which start at just $459 per person during the sale. The sale, which was extended and must be booked by April 18, offers cruises starting at just $179 per person, according to MSC.
If you buy a drinks package, the gratuity charges for drinks is folded into the package price when you book it. A 15% service charge is also added to items in minibars, salons and spas. If you're a U.S. citizen on a cruise that starts and ends in a U.S. port, you'll need either a current passport or an official copy of your birth certificate and a driver's license or other government-issued photo identification to sail. MSC Cruises ships also have Young Club, a tween program (ages 12 to 14) that includes sports tournaments, high-tech games and other activities. On the line's newer ships, such as MSC Euribia, MSC Virtuosa and MSC Grandiosa, there are main theaters that hold nearly 1,000 people.

Fonsi later performed in the ship's Viva Theater, while Mexican singer, songwriter and TV personality Paulina Rubio performed on the pool deck, singer and actor Pedro Capo performed in the Penrose Atrium and Saturday Night Live comedian Marcello Hernandez performed at the Improv club.
